We Want to Know Wednesday: Week 38
1. Do you prefer the people in your life to be simple or complex?
I don't mind having some complex people in my life.
2. Do you think you're a simple or complex person?
I'm a complex person. It's still difficult for me to figure myself out most of the time.
3. Should burning your country's flag be illegal?
I think it's usually disrespectful to burn a flag, but if a flag was getting old and worn out I wouldn't have a problem with it being properly disposed of in some way.
4. Could you imagine yourself killing someone?
No, I can't imagine ever killing someone. Even if I had to defend myself it'd be a very traumatic experience for me to shoot someone especially if it killed them.

We Want to Know Wedneday: Week 37
1. What is the worst thing to ever happen to you?
I fell in love with a person who at that time I considered as my closest friend and I eventually had a falling out with her. I loved her and it was frustrating that she didn't love me back to the point that I couldn't be her friend anymore.
2. Do you have a pessimistic or optimistic attitude?
It depends on the day, but overall I think I usually have a cautiously optimistic attitude.
3. As a friend are you a better partner in crime or would you be more of a conscience/voice of reason?
I'd definitely be the voice of reason..
4. Do you want kids?
At this point in my life I'm still open to the possibility of that.

We Want to Know Wednesday: Week 36
1. What is the best compliment you've ever received?
Kara telling me that no one compares to me in goodness awhile ago. She's an amazing person and so that compliment meant so much to me coming from her.
2. What song takes you back in time?
3. What memory is attached to it?
"Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks always reminds me of Sheila leaving home to attend college at Utah State University. I had mixed feelings about it because I was excited for her, but I also knew that our lives were changing and it was never going be exactly like it was when we were growing up together again.
4. What is your biggest pleasure?
I enjoy trying to find ways to make my friends more happy, because they've brought a lot of joy into my life.

People Who Have Inspired Me: Kara
My amazing friend Kara is possibly the most genuinely good person I've ever met. Kara's also very intelligent and I've appreciated how perceptive she's been at finding specific ways to help me. It's been inspiring to see how selfless Kara is and how much she enjoys helping people. Remembering how nice she was to me when I was younger still motivates me to try to be that thoughtful and exceptional of a person. She's done several simple kind things to help me that have meant a lot to me.
Kara is a special person. She has been a very supportive friend to me especially when I've struggled or had days where I wasn't nearly at my best and I'm so grateful to her for that. I feel like I'd still need to make some improvements to be able to be nearly as kind to her as she's been to me so far in my life. I've gained quite a bit of respect for the very kind, caring and extraordinary person that Kara continues to be.
I'm grateful that I've had the opportunity to be the friend of such an impressive person as Kara is. My friendship with her does inspire me to be a better person and to try to be the best friend to her that I can be. I do hope that Kara will have as much happiness in her life as she deserves and that we will remain friends forever.
