Ask Away Sunday: Week 11
Who is your favorite Avenger?
I still haven't seen the Avengers movie. So I'll go with Tony Stark/Iron Man since I've seen the Iron Man movies.
Do you have any similar qualities to the Avenger you chose?
I don't think that I'm a very flashy person, but I do try to be outgoing and to make the world a better place in my own way.
If you could have one super natural power what would it be?
I'd like to have the ability to read minds.
What is your favorite board game?
The Simpsons edition of Clue.
If you were forced to live in California what city would you live in and why?
San Diego. I enjoyed my vacation there and it's a fun city to spend time in.
What is your favorite kind of juice?
Orange Juice
Have you ever had a smoothie from Keva Juice in Bountiful?
No and I actually don't remember ever having a smoothie in my life.
Who is your favorite Disney character?
There are so many Disney characters now that it's difficult to have a specific favorite, but Mickey Moose is usually the first character I think of, because he's probably still the most identifiable Disney character.
Who is your favorite actor and who is your favorite actress?
I don't neccessarily have a favorite actor or actress.
If you were a character in any movie, who would you be and why?
Batman/Bruce Wayne. Batman's always been my favorite superhero.
What is your favorite dessert?
I'd probably enjoy any desert that included choclate or Oreos. There are several good desserts.
What is your favorite item of clothing that you own?
My favorite item of clothing is my Flaming Gorge basketball tournament shirt from high school. It brings back a lot of good memories with my friends.

I don't have a specific favorite, but I do like sarcastic jokes quite a bit.

Ask Away Sunday: Week 10
1. What was the best Superbowl game?
Super Bowl XXXII between the Denver Broncos and the Green Bay Packers will always be my favorite Super Bowl. One of my closest friends Jena liked the Packers and I've always been a Denver Broncos fan. So it made it fun to tease her at school that the Broncos were obviously going to win.
2. What was the best Superbowl commercial of all time.
Those Bud Bowl commercials were my favorite as a kid.
3. Best Superbowl commercial from this year's Superbowl?
I liked a few of the Doritos commercials. I also thought the Oreos commercial was funny at the time.
4. Is mild, medium, or sharp cheddar your favorite?
I usually eat mild, but probably wouldn't mind eating any of them.
5. Would you rather live through a tornado or hurricane and why?
Well I'd rather live through both since I'm too young to die yet.
6. What is your favorite italian dish?
I've always liked spaghetti and lasagna.
7. What is your favorite treat to eat while traveling?
Usually I take some oatmeal and raisin granola bars along to snack on when I'm traveling.

I decided to post a photo of Melanie taken last week since I scheduled this post for midnight which didn't give me time to take a photo yet today. Melanie is exactly two months old today...

Ask Away Sunday: Week 9
Were you surprised by BYU's loss to Gonzaga?
I was suprised BYU kept the score as close as the Cougars did. Gonzaga's a great team and so I predicted that BYU would lose by 20.
What is your fvorite flavor of birthday cake?
I like Angel Food Cake with strawberries and whipped cream.
Homemade cake or one from the bakery with that amazing frosting they put on it?
My stepmom has made some good cakes for my birthday, even though she'd probably say that her cooking is below average, so I'll go with a homemade cake.
How do you plan on celebrating your birthday next month?
It'd be fun if I could spend my birthday with some of my friends, but I'll probably just spend it with my parents again. Most of my closest friends are married now. So I don't think it would be appropriate to spend as much time with them as I did when we were younger especially since I don't know their husbands very well.
How many attempts will it take to blow out all your candles?
It should take quite a few attempts for an old person like me, but maybe I can have my niece help me out this year.
Do you prefer winter or summer?
Both of those seasons get to be too long for me, but I probably prefer winter since there are some decent sports to watch that helps me to pass the time. I don't really care about Major League Baseball, Golf or NASCAR in the summer.
What is your next church lesson on?
"The Grand Destiny of the Faithful" and I actually will be teaching it today.
Is your lesson going to be more difficult or easier to teach?
I didn't find as much material for this lesson. So it could be more difficult if I don't get as much participation as I did during the lesson last month. Last month I didn't get everything covered. So hopefully people could still understand what the main points of that lesson were after I condensed it.

2013 Personal Goals
I thought I'd write down the personal goals/resolutions that I made for this
year back in January so I can refer back to them. I'm going to try make more of effort to accomplish these goals/resolutions than I have in previous years.
1. Become more assertive.
2. Learn how to tell people no and not allow them to talk me into doing things that I actually don't want to do.
3. I need to get back to doing more productive things than spending so much time on the internet. It'd be nice if I could limit the time I spend on Facebook significantly since I've developed a bad habit of checking it too consistently even on the days when nothing is happening on there or giving people advice that they probably don't need. It drives me crazy sometimes that I can't be as helpful to my friends from a distance as I'd like to be. I realize that people are usually busy and have better things to do than respond to pointless e-mails from me every day.
4. I'd like to figure out specific ways to be as supportive of my niece as possible. As Melanie gets older I hope that I can become her friend and also help her to develop into a great person.

1.What is your favorite snow activity?
I like to snowmobile every once in awhile. It's probably not as fun in the snow though.
2. What is the greatest miracle you've ever witnessed?
The greatest miracle I've ever witnessed is my mom living for a longer time than she was expected to after she had breast cancer. I could have easily died from some of the medical issues and surgeries that I've had.
3. How many friends do you have on Facebook?
735. Someone probably has more friends than me, but I'm grateful for the friends that I have.
4. What was the number of students in your high school graduating class?
I think it was in the 300 to 400 student range, but it's been so long ago that I can't remember an exact number.
5. Who is your favorite U.S. president?
I've always liked George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
6. How much do you think a Michael Jordan rookie card is worth?
According to the internet the card's market value should be in the $300 to $550 range, but obviously it depend on the condition of the card.
7. Would you sell the card or keep it?
I think it'd be wise to keep it since the card should continue to increase in value.
8. Assuming you've watched some college basketball now, besides BYU, who is going to win the NCAA Championship?
I'll go with Gonzaga since they are the only highly ranked team I've watched consistently and I don't think there's a dominant team that will definitely win the championship this season.
