We Want to Know Wednesday:Week 48

1. If you are sick in bed how do you entertain yourself?
Usually I'll either sleep, watch a movie or read when I'm sick.

2. Would you pray for family/friends if they were ill?
Definitely.

3. If someone offers to bring in dinner to you when you're sick do you let them?
I would probably have to be very sick before I'd allow most people to something for me like that unless they insisted on doing it.  I don't expect people to feel like they're obligated to help me, because I realize that they're not.

4. If you could have anything to eat when you are sick what would it be?
Chicken noodle soup.

We Want to Know Wednesday: Week 47

Would you rather have your own private jet or your own private island?
My own private island.

Would you rather be very good looking or very intelligent for the rest of your life?
 I'd rather be very intelligent.

Would you rather have the ability to be invisible or the ability to fly?
I'd want the ability to fly myself to my private island.

Would you rather be able to hear any conversation in the world or take back anything stupid you said?
I'd prefer to hear any conversation, because it would probably eliminate most of the dumb things I said if I was more aware of exactly what was going on and it'd be interesting to learn more about people that way.

Would you rather have the ability to read minds or control the weather?
I'd rather read minds. It'd be fascinating to know what some people think and I could always travel to somewhere with a better temperature if I wanted.

The Sulpher Springs

Last night I was invited to a dinner at the Sulpher Springs in Auburn, WY.  I'd never been to the Sulpher Springs before and so it was fun for me to have an opportunity to spend some time there...

We Want to Know Wednesday: Week 45

(1) What do like about the Olympics?
It's good to see the world come together in a peaceful way for a few weeks.  I've also always been a sports fan so it's fun to be able to watch some sports that don't normally get as much TV coverage.

(2) Which country are you rooting for? ( I realize we aren't all Americans)
USA.

(3) Which is your favorite event to watch and why?
Basketball. I like that international basketball has some different rules than the NBA which makes it unique. I enjoy being able to watch some of the younger international players that could be in the NBA soon.

(4) Have you found a new sport that is surprisingly delightful?
I enjoyed watching the archery competition. I could watch diving all day as well.

(5) What is your earliest Olympic memory?
I vaguely  remember seeing some of the highlights of the '92 USA Basketball team's games as a kid.

People Who Have Inspired Me: Jena

Jena's an extraordinary person and one of the most underrated friends that I've ever had.  I appreciate that Jena continues to be a supportive friend and that she's always been extremely nice to me. Jena's been a  very thoughtful, kind, and caring person since I've known her.  I'm grateful that Jena's been willing to help me whenever I've struggled or just needed a friend to talk to about whatever was bothering me.  Her friendship and kindness has helped me make it through some of the most difficult times in my life.

I remember when I started using a wheelchair I became uncomfortable with asking people to help me.  Sometimes I'd get concerned that I was too much of a burden on my family and friends which was very frustrating for me.  However, Jena was always very perceptive about finding specific ways to discretely help me that made my life so much easier.  It inspires me to be a better person when I remember how selfless Jena is and it's also been inspiring to see how much she enjoys helping people.

I appreciate that I've had the opportunity to be the friend of someone as impressive as Jena continues to be. I've always had a goal to be more kind to my friends than they are to me, but Jena is one of my friends that makes it very challenging to do that because she's a genuinely good person.  I know that our friendship has made me a much better person and has been very beneficial to me in several ways. It's been fun for me to be able to see in recent years how well life's working out for her.  I hope that regardless of whatever different directions life takes us in the future that we'll somehow be able to stay in touch with each other and that we will remain friends forever.

We Want to Know Wednesday: 44

(1) Which celebrity would you most like to meet if you had the chance?
John Stockton

(2) Would you prefer to date older or younger women?
Younger.

(3) Which hair color do you find the most attractive in the opposite sex?
For some reason I've always thought brunettes were the most attractive.

(4) Does it make you uncomfortable to tell people that you love them?
Yes, because I don't think that anyone wants to hear that from me which would make it uncomfortable and awkward to tell people that I love them.
